Salem the ghost is an easy, pushy ghost worked in the round. If you can crochet a circle, you can make this ghost! With a little bit of Lion Brand's Go for Fleece Sherpa, you can make this quick project in an evening for a cute throw pillow or toy. You can give your ghost a cute or spooky face... or one on either side for a reversible ghost :)
Here's the most controversial thing you'll here all day:
I don't get the hype around Halloween. THERE I SAID IT. Can we still be friends?
Look, I have fond memories of Halloween as a kid, but I just don't get the adult spooky-season hype. However, my family and I have been doing a Halloween party for the last 3 years, mainly as an excuse to be super goofy (it's just my immediate family + spouses, so there's only about 9 of us in attendance).
BUT I will say that I have been loving what spooky-season has been doing for Halloween decor, especially all the cute ghosts this year! I'm in love with the Pottery Barn ghost pillow set this year, so I set out to make my own.
I tried to make a few different shapes, but ended up settling on this super easy, beginner friendly style. And its sooo quick, you can easily whip up a few for your living room.
I used Lion Brand Go For Fleece for mine, and lightly stuffed it. I didn't want it to be too thick, but it also needed some structure.

Repeat Round 6 until ghost measures 12 inches from top to bottom.
Using medium weight black yarn and your needle, stitch on your face.
Next you will close up your ghost. Lay your ghost flat with the face centered. If your stitch marker is not on the edge, add or frog stitches until it is on either edge.
Holding your edges together, sc in 1 st from both the front edge and back edge. When you have about 4 stitches left, stuff ghost. Sc the last 4 sts together. (15)
Scalloped bottom:
Ch 1, turn, 2 sl st, *dc, tr, dc, sl st, repeat from * to end, sl st in last st. (15)
Weave in ends. All done!
